Dutch journalist Eline de Zeeuw is talking to Sportsound about Ajax's recent struggles...
"Everyone was so excited after Ajax beat Rangers 4-0", she said. "It was like tiki-taka. Now they cannot find each other, they are out of form - it is hard to watch at times.
"Ajax fans say you have to aim higher - there is criticism. A few of the new players haven't been performing that well.
"There is also criticism of [Calvin] Bassey. He was bought for millions; some critics say he isn't providing enough, he isn't fast enough, he isn't aggressive enough. He was supposed to fill the void of Lisandro Martinez.
"That can all change, maybe he just has to get going. Ajax are confident about tonight, and they need to close the group with a good feeling. They have a big game coming up against PSV in the Eredivise."
So, Ajax go with nine of the starting XI from the 4-0 pasting at the Johan Cruyff Arena, dispelling any notion that they might be coasting before a big showdown with PSV Eindhoven at the weekend.
The first stirrings inside the stadium come from the visiting fans, with one huge red and white flag hoisted aloft. I know the Dutch are a tall bunch but there's no way the pole it's on was sneaked in down anyone's trouser leg.

If Rangers have endured a torrid Champions League campaign, Ajax haven't had an easy time of it since their 4-0 thrashing of Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side on matchday one.
Four straight defeats and 15 goals conceded mean this is the end of the road for them in the Champions League this season, though barring an unlikely five-goal reverse at Ibrox they will find solace in the Europa League.
Those high-profile defeats have brought criticism from Dutch pundits, not least of Calvin Bassey, whose transition from Rangers to Ajax has not been an entirely smooth one.
Their domestic fortunes remain positive though - a point clear at the top of the Eredivisie with a game in hand on second-placed PSV Eindhoven.
Only once have their Champions League travails had a knock-on effect in the league, when they lost away to AZ Alkmaar (destroyers of Dundee United) following the narrow 2-1 defeat by Liverpool at Anfield.
They have another big domestic challenge this weekend when PSV visit Amsterdam and there are suggestions some top players could be rested with that in mind and third place all but assured in Group A.
